A Family Legacy Since 1921
Since we got our start in 1921, four generations of Adelmans have built our truck salvage yard into a worldwide trucking industry leader specializing in new, rebuilt and used truck parts. Our staff is expertly trained and focused on efficiency, able to quickly locate, pack and ship quality truck parts by the containerful.
With the third and fourth Adelman generations now leading the way, our truck salvage business has entered new markets, including transmissions and differentials, new engine and truck sales, export and industrial equipment and components. We’ve also expanded our footprint (in operating space and global service) while maintaining unmatched quality, price and service, guided by our deep industry knowledge and genuine care for our customers. This is the Adelman’s story.
Our History
In 1921, Henry Adelman launched a business selling used truck parts. Four generations of Adelmans later, what began as a humble, truck salvage yard is now one of the largest, longest-running privately-owned truck salvage companies in the United States. We’re proud to be family owned and operated as we serve a global customer base on seven continents, leading the trucking industry with quality medium- and heavy-duty trucks, equipment and parts. With diligent reinvestment, smart expansion and sustainable growth, Adelman’s is poised to continue serving the trucking industry for another 100 years.
Our Locations
Adelman’s operates three locations: two in Canton, Ohio, and one in Chicago. Adelman’s Truck Parts, America’s largest truck part inventory, is located in Canton. Adelman’s Truck Sales, also in Canton, offers quality used trucks for sale, specializing in well-maintained fleet, government surplus trucks, heavy-duty trucks, equipment and trailers. Finally, Adelman’s Truck and Equipment, located in Chicago, Illinois, is Chicago’s largest truck salvage yard.
Going Green
At Adelman’s, we believe protecting the environment is crucial to the long-term success of our business. As part of our efforts to go green, we’ve built a Recovery Building onsite where we can remove harmful items such as diesel fuel, hydraulic oil, batteries, coolant and refrigerants from each vehicle we take in. By removing these chemicals and disposing of them properly, we can ensure that those fluids do not harm our environment by leaking into the ground or nearby water sources. We continue to seek out new and innovative ways to do our part to support the environment.
Inventory
Our inventory is unparalleled in the industry. It is meticulously organized and covers 200 acres outside and 200,000 square feet of indoor warehouse space.

Adelman’s staff is expertly trained to quickly and easily locate the trucks and parts you need. If what you are looking for is not “on the shelf,” we will custom-build it for you.
Service
Efficiency and service are the goals of Adelman’s team members. We know your time is valuable, so we move quickly to source, pack and ship your order promptly and securely.
